Site Types

The network is broken up into four category of sites:

  • Client Sites
  • Starter Sites
  • Content Sites
  • Theme Sites

Starter Sites

Starter sites are a collection of sites that act as the starter structure of a new website.  For example ODEssentials, ODSpecialty, ODMetro etc. each may start with a different set of pages so each get their own Starter site.  Pages from a Starter site can be imported into a new client site.

Theme Sites

A theme site will contain the theme settings and color schemes, imagery reserved for that specific theme, and content generated specifically for that theme (typically just a homepage).

Content Sites (Coming Soon!)

Content sites act as the store for our pre-written content- individual pages (i.e. About Us, Our Services, etc) or partial pages (a collection of prebuilt rows).  A content site may have a single page or multiple variations of that same page, for example you may have multiple versions of an "About Us" page to be used in different situations.  How content will be organized is still up for discussion on V4, for now the library is very basic.

Admin

Unlike the WordPress admin which can be accessed via the *.ecpbuilder.com/wp-admin domain and the client's custom domain, the V4 admin is only accessible via dashboard.getsetpro.cloud.  There is currently no method to reach the admin via the published client website (to be discussed?).

There are 6 different post types:

  • Page
  • Layout - used in regions (global content)
  • Form
  • Menu
  • Team (created via GSP only)
  • Locations (created via GSP only)

Cache

There is no clear cache button, v4 will clear the cache automatically.  If a page is updated, the cache for that page is cleared.  If a global area is updated like a menu or region, the full site cache is cleared.  If GSP data is updated, the cache is cleared.

Media

V4 will auto-generate a compressed webp version for any jpg or png uploaded.  Do not compress your files before uploading them to V4 as that will result in your file being double compressed.   Every file uploaded will have 10 different sizes auto-generated: 2000px, 1600px, 1200px, 1000px, 900px, 800px, 720px, 600px, 400px, and 300px wide.  V4 will auto select the proper image size, there's no need (or the means!) to specify which image size you wish to use.

Also note you can pull media from any site into any other site.   If imported media is flagged as being a 'library' image, in the future, that image will be filtered out when the site is exported for a client quit.
